Power to the Pedal, Baby!

Feather's friend, Aspen, used an old bicycle chain to make a groovy headpiece.

I only use the grooviest computers here in the Peace Yurt. Solar powered, of course. Sorry if it's cloudy when I need to send an email.

Flowers are Groovy ...

... Especially if they're on your bicycle.

Take a picture of your bike with groovy flowers. For the contest.

Peace,
Quin, Your Groovy Photo Contest Guy

Flower

Feather's daughter, Flower, has a bike (it's not that groovy), but she also likes to dance:

If you're biking or not in March, take photos, people.

Biking to Work is Totally, Well, You Know

Not really into the whole "9-to-5" thing, but if you gotta be somewhere, I guess riding a bike is a pretty groovy way to get there. I prefer walking barefoot (keeps me in touch with Mother Earth), but here's a groovy-looking dude:

If you ride your bike to work in March, take a pic. Cool.

My Groovy Home

Here is where Feather and I live. We're off the grid. Can't say where, but if you've been there you know.

Get Thee to the Haight, Man!

One of the categories in this year's groovy contest is "San Francisco"

So ... groove on over to the Haight and start snapping!

What is "Groovy"?

Here's a cool dude explaining what a groovy outlook is all about, man.

Quin, Your Groovy Photo Contest Guy

Bike for Peace, Man

Bike riding is, like, totally peaceful. Except for the ungroovy drivers who are always, like, shouting at me.

Chill OUT, people! Bikes have a total right to be there.

Don't forget to take photogs of your groovy bicycle adventures in March, even if someone yells at you.

Peace,
Quin, Your Groovy Photo Contest Guy

Riding Bikes Is for Like, Doing with Friends, Man

OK, I'm starting to get into this whole "riding the bicycle" thing. It's totally green, OK? And it's fun to do with my friends at the commune.

Here's what a totally groovy dude said.

Groovy Chicks and Dudes Ride Bikes!

Duuuuudes! Just remembered that my groovy chick, Feather, used to ride a bike. She was totally awesome. Here's a picture of her on her ten speed.

Oh ... those groovy Davis Bike Club people said to remind you that it's ungroovy to ride without a helmet, like Feather did. Protect your head, man.

Peace,

Duuuuuuude ... It's Photog Time!

Whoa. No, really. Whoa. Gotta center for a second here ...

Welcome, Groovy Davis Bike Club Dudes and Gals! This guy, Eric, asked me to do some groovy blogging for him ... something about a photo contest. I'm usually not into the whole competitive thing, but he said it would be groovy, so I said, "Sure."

I'm not clear on the whole "Davis" "bicycle" thing. I think we have a bicycle somewhere here at the commune. Usually we just drive the microbus to the co-op. Anyway, start taking photos when you ride your bike in March. I prefer Kodachrome (the colors are totally groovy!), but use whatever kind of camera turns you on.

Gotta go now (yerba mate tea is almost ready), but check back later for more groovy info on the whole contest thing.

Peace,
Quin, Your Groovy Photo Contest Guy
